Two St Peter’s Square
Manchester, UK
Designed by SimpsonHaugh, the new build speculative scheme comprises of 14,300 sq ft of commercial space. The building consists of eleven floors of open plan office space and two retail units on the ground floor. Susie was part of the team from feasibility to completion with her key role leading the design team as an Associate when the project was under construction.
The building sits within the St Peter’s Square redevelopment within the George Street conservation area in close proximity to a number of listed buildings such as opposite the Town Hall and Central Library. Therefore a contextual design response was paramount. Massing, form, materiality and articulation were carefully considered to create a contemporary response which reflects the quality and character of the building's historic setting. The building design also responds to the climate crisis by achieving BREEAM Excellent and an EPC rating A.
